One of our local Flexiroamers is getting a big shout out from us this weekend for realising his intention of a Cape Town Coffee Festival. Patrick Craig from Manciet Experiences is a man who loves to travel, curating ideas and experiences along the way. With Flexiroam, he stays connected and travels with freedom, dreaming up a-mazing stuff to bring our way.

If you consider bean juice a basic human right and the smell of freshly ground coffee one of life’s best inventions, you’re going to love the caffeine fest hitting the Mother City this weekend at the Castle of Good Hope.

Under the cool banner of the Allegra Group, the Coffee Festival is coming to the African Continent for the first time with Patrick and his sharp team, pulling off the event management. This is a super exciting global event that already runs in London, Amsterdam, New York, LA and Milan (is your travel bug jittering at this slick line-up?).

Cape Town will be flaunting its craft coffee culture to the max with live music, food, art and lifetsyle experiences to get you percolating. Taste, smell and explore your way through hundreds of artisenal coffee samples, expand your knowledge with interactive demos and workshops while the effects of your coffee overdose kick in! Latte Art Live, The Lab and The Coffee Cocktail Bar will take your experience to the next level.

100% of profits are going to Project Waterfall, in partnership with South African charities like Woza. Lives will be changed by this coffee-gasmic festival meaning every little rush you feel will have a ripple effect.

Just like that morning cup of sanity, this is one not to be missed. The two day festival kicks off with an exclusive Trade only session on Saturday 09:00am – 11:00am filled with workshops, seminars, product tastings and other industry specific experiences. For the “ordinary cup of joe” public, the entrance fee is R150.00. This includes what goes best with a cup of coffee….another cup and another cup and another cup and another cup and another cup and another cup, okay you get it right? There will be free tastings and demonstrations from world-class baristas, interactive workshops, street food, coffee cocktails, live music, DJs and art exhibitions. For more details visit
